In 2009 we were affected by illness within the band and with the family of a different band member, so did not perform quite so much. However, we managed the following:
Feb 2009
A home booking! Michael has twin daughters and we were asked to provide the entertainment for their joint birthday party. Dash was not well at the time but Michael managed to get a son of a friend to play drums and all went well!
June 2009
Delighted to be invited back to The British Legion in Weston-super-Mare for their annual Strawberry Tea. It's good to be at a high profile event like this once in a while, with guests including the Mayor of W-s-M and other dignitaries of the area and of the British Legion. Always a pleasure to play for them, and there are always appreciative comments from people as they leave.
July 18th 2009
A last minute cancellation by someone else gave us the opportunity to fill a gap at The Hawthorns, a reirement complex, in Clevedon. David James was there with his band for the first part of the evening and we ended up virtually on a balcony above them for our spot. An interesting experience, but next time we would prefer to be down at ground level where we could be seen by everyone :-) .
July 26th 2009
Invited back again to entertain at the Beer Festival on the Beach Lawns at Weston-super-Mare, this time on the Sunday afternoon. The weather was not so good and we finished a little early. Very enjoyable however.
August 1st 2009
Michael unable to attend this one so it was a Dash and Dot duo that entertained Claverham Senior Citizens. We missed Michael but kept our end up! Always a good appreciative local crowd.
September 26th 2009
Invited to Waverley Court in Portishead to entertain at the celebration of a couple who have been married for 68 years! It was written up in the local paper but we didn't get much of a mention because the show was stolen by the couple doing a short act of their own! A lovely appreciative crowd and we are getting quite a few engagements there for birthdays.

November 2009
We did a free gig to help raise funds for the local St. Barnabus Church roof. It was a Promises Auction and it was held in Claverham Court Farm barn! Amazing to be playing with bales of hay around us. They raised a lot of money with the auction and we were pleased to be able to make a small contribution to the event with our entertainment.
